Vodafone customers can now purchase a number of service provider’s products at Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) ATMs across Qatar. This will allow all Vodafone customers, who are QIB cardholders, the convenience of purchasing Red top-up cards, mobile Internet add-ons and International 25 cards at 128 QIB ATM machines located across Qatar.

In addition, all customers who top up through QIB ATMs are automatically entered into a raffle, which will give them the opportunity to win two iPhones every week and a grand prize of a Samsung Galaxy Tab at the end of the promotion on February 24.

This will be held during the prestigious ICT tradeshow QITCOM at the newly opened Qatar National Convention Center. "Indie Fikra: Appathon 2012" brings together talent from all over Qatar to compete for QR 50,000 in prizes and inclusion in ictQATAR’s coveted incubation program Dajtala! What are you waiting for? It’s time to get started on your start up!

In "Indie Fikra: Appathon 2012", you and your Team will compete against the clock to code and create a working demo for a new mobile app in any one of the following categories:

• Apps in Arabic
• Apps for Women
• Apps for Games
• Apps for Al Sadd Fan Club            

To be eligible to win, you must:

• Be a resident of Qatar and at least 18 years of age
• Have a great new idea for a mobile app in one of the provided categories
• Have the capability—with your Team—to build a smartphone app of your idea in 48 hours for either the Android, BlackBerry or iOS operating systems
• Have a laptop with all the software, accessories, and equipment needed to code your app including any tools provided by Android, RIM or Apple through their developer portals
• Understand that Indie Fikra: Appathon 2012 will be filmed and that by participating in the competition you agree to have your appathon story recorded and image used. We will be webcasting the event live to Vodafone Qatar’s booth at QITCOM
